Come visit us on our farm on Sunday 19th March 2017 for the third Tasmanian Garlic & Tomato Festival.
See and taste at least 80 varieties of heirloom tomato and a number of garlic cultivars. Vote for your favourite in the tasting tent. Bring along your biggest and ugliest tomatoes or best tomato sauce or garlic pesto.
Race the clock and other competitors in the garlic cracking and garlic eating competitions!!!
Find out just how big your mouth is in the “What a Mouthful!” tomato competition. (How many cherry tomatoes can you fit in and still say the word “tomato”?)
Hear guest speaker, Angus Stewart (Gardening Australia) discuss the issues of water and soil preparation. Catch up with local gardening guru, Steve Solomon. See chef extraordinaire, Sam Pinkard, from Geronimos Aperitivo & Wine Bar as he demonstrates some inspiring uses of the humble tomato. Listen to live music by the north’s own acoustic guitarist and singer, Matthew Dames. Experience great Tasmanian food and produce from a range of quality producers and food outlets.
